AN UPDATE FROM STRONGVOX HOMES DURING THE TEMPORARY GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS
As you’d expect, our highest priority at Strongvox Homes is the health & safety of our customers and staff. Therefore, we temporarily closed our sites and sales centres from Tuesday, March 24th until the Government restrictions are either lifted or amended.
Strongvox remains very much operational however, with key staff working remotely. We are still here to help you with buying a new home, guide you through the process if you have already reserved a new home, or support you if you have recently moved into one of our developments.
We have been in touch already with all our existing customers. There is also further customer guidance below.
If you have purchased a Strongvox home but not yet exchanged contracts
Government guidance does not prevent you from moving into a new build or vacant home, or from progressing the legal work which enables you to do so. However, we do understand it is not quite as simple as this when chains of buyers and removals are taken into account. Some solicitors and legal advisors are advising their clients to suspend their moves until the restrictions are lifted. This is understandable their job is to protect their clients’ interests. However, we have amended our contracts so that you would be able to exchange contracts with both us and your buyers whilst having the comfort that completion can be delayed until you’re able to move or, in some cases, deferred indefinitely. We believe this a good solution and helps you and your buyers have some certainty.
Where homes are build complete and you wish to move in as soon as possible, this can be accommodated and we have spoken to customers who will be able to do this.
If your new home was still under construction when the restrictions began on March 24th, it is inevitable that there will be some delay in the build process. Until we are back on site and progress can be made, it is hard to be precise as to how long the delay will be. Rest assured that any delay will be kept to an absolute minimum and we will keep you regularly updated.
If you have recently moved to your Strongvox home
Our Customer Care Team are unable to attend to non-urgent matters while the restrictions are in place and have postponed all non-emergency appointments. Your handover packs give details of what to do in the case of an emergency.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience of this temporary suspension of service but hope you understand the temporary position.
